Animas Vibe, Medtronic or Accuchek Combo?

Hey.... No problem I can put it on here, it's just I don't anything about other pumps so can't compare as such. Sorry for delay! I went on the accu chek one as I went on it to control my sugars enough to have a baby and this is the one my nurse recommended to me. And since I've had a baby boy...

Animas Vibe, Medtronic or Accuchek Combo?

Hi Dani I'm on the accu chek combo and have been for over 2 years. I don't know much about the other pumps as this was the one recommended to me so went with that. I'll send you a Private Message tonight with my thoughts as I won't have time during the day. X

Another problem with my pump...any advice?

DonnelleysDogs thanks for your last message, I think your right as I know it's not me so it's got to be the pump. I'm now getting bubbles all the time for no reason. I changed the cartridge - there were no bubbles, got my husband to check then today loads in the cartridge and tube. So...

Another problem with my pump...any advice?

Thanks for the advice! I fill the cartridge upwards but don't think this can be the problem as it's only when I disconnect and only in the infusion set. Just seems very strange it's starting after 2.5 years if using the pump and not changing how I do anything. I have also changed boxes to check...

Battery fault, do you carry spare batteries?

Yep I always carry them! I have the accu chek spirit combo & as soon as the blood glucose meter battery gets low the blue tooth stops working so it no longer 'speaks' to the pump which is really frustrating!

Another problem with my pump...any advice?

Thanks for your comments and advice all. I don't have a problem when I'm changing the cartridge - I seem to have that bit sorted. It's only when disconnecting for a shower or swimming that I have the issue where a air bubble appears in the cannula tubing which is still attached to me so I cant...

Another problem with my pump...any advice?

Thank you for all your replies! In terms of the air bubble it is in the infusion set (so the cannula half attached to me) so I cant prime it and tap, I have to remove and put a new one on which is why I thought it might have been caused by the cap. When I normally change the pump set or cannula...

Another problem with my pump...any advice?

I have the Spirit Combo Pump and I am having issues when disconnecting and then reconnecting the pump. I follow the guidance provided in the manual and when showering or swimming I disconnect, put into stop mode & place the protective cap on the infusion set which is still attached to my body...

    Cannula issues...

Sorry for the delayed reply... So I now remove my cannula straight after shower when it's wet or if not convenient just hold a wet flannel on it and it comes off fairly easily. I've been using surgical spirit to get rid of the horrible black mark and it's been brilliant! Gets rid of the residue...
