What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Turns out fat head pizza isn't for me :yuck: base is far too stodgy/cake like, so just ate the topping (onion, mushroom, ham, cheese) with salad!

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Had to grab and go from a small co-op for breakfast and lunch today so ended up with a peperami and some cottage cheese for breakfast and a rainbow salad with cooked chicken and smoked cheese for lunch. Home now and have my first ever fat head pizza in the oven, used to generally steer clear of...

Thanks both really helpful, on my way to do the main shop at Aldi but will call in Morrisons on the way back and pick some up, I'm very behind the times on the kitchen gadget front and I don't think my mini food processor would cut it!. May well order some lo dough too and give it a go, we have...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hi all, can I join you? I'm type 2, had really good success with LC before but massively fell off the wagon after my daughter was born just over a year ago. HbA1c has gone up from early 30's to early 40's so need to nip it in the bud and get back on track before it gets any worse! Hoping that...

    Hi Help needed

Hi, You don't say what your blood sugar readings are like, are they on the high side? Have you been diagnosed as type 2 following the birth of your babies? If you're feeling unwell and losing weight without wanting to then I would think it's pretty important that you go and see a doctor, there...

    Picture Loons

But even in the best case scenario you are tarring all with the same brush, what about the young people who are considerate and hard-working and do positive things for their communities? I don't really want to get in to a debate about the state of the nation on what was supposed to be a fun...

    Picture Loons

I'd say it's a long, long way away from the truth and quite an offensive stereotype

    Eaten all wrong things today

Can I ask what is wrong with Soy? I use soya flour quite often in cooking as a replacement for wheat flour and cause I don't really like nuts (so nut flours are out), and it never seems to hurt my levels. Please tell me it's not yet another thing I need to get rid of!

    An Obituary - Common Sense

Couldn't agree more, with a splash of homophobia thrown in for good measure, makes me sad.

    Theory on T2 and overweight/obesity

Just done a very quick calculation as I was interested to know! Based on 2010 population estimates and obesity prevalence from the national obesity observatory of all the people who are obese (not including overweight but not obese) just under 20% have type 2, so therefore approximately 4x more...

    Theory on T2 and overweight/obesity

I think we need to be a bit careful with the numbers here, only about 4.5% (UK average) to 5.5% (England) of the general population have type 2 diabetes, of whom 80% are over weight or obese. This is a lot more significant than, as grazer said as this suggests that 80% of the whole population...

Success! But how low is too low?

I've started taking low carb seriously this week and been eating generally less than 50g per day not counting veg, so probably more like 80-100g. My fasting levels have started coming down, was 6.5 this morning, and all week I've been hitting the 4's by my pre-lunch reading and staying pretty...

    Alopecia of the beard

Hi, I'm a type 2 and a girl, but I do suffer from alopecia on my head. From what I've read it is an autoimmune disorder as is type 1 diabetes and aparently you are more prone to develop others once you have one. Hopefully it isn't causing you too much distress, my current bout seems to have...
