    My recent visit with the GP nurse ( not diabetic nurse) said I should never have been given a home testing kit. She also said that if type 2’s continually check by getting blood from their fingers it will make the finger tips lose sensation and have neuropathy in them. is this true?

    I have just recently had HbA1c which is 50 think it was 49 a year ago . Also told my cholesterol is high serum 6.93 hdl 5.7 ldl 5.06 and also high blood pressure, which was done Friday. Have just been tested positive for COVID today. The nurse wants me on metaformin which apparently will help...

    Hi DCUKMod I am not sure about my thyroid. I take 150mg daily which I’m told is almost the upper limit. I have tried to get my T3 tested as well as Tsh and T4 but alas NO is always the answer. They say I am within normal range . I’ve never been happy about my health care regarding my thyroid.

    Hi I can’t remember what is good or bad for first bg test of the day ? mine today after fasting 6.6 thank you if you can help it’s been a while since I’ve done this but I have come to realise I need to take this more seriously. I lost 2kg last week so a good start.
