    Moving CCG. Pump funding paused?

You actually 'belong' to the CCG your GP's surgery belongs to - not the one where YOU live ! There was deep confusion when I went on a pump because I live in Warwickshire so the bills were sent to Warwickshire CCG. However the GP I am with is in Coventry, therefore he belongs to - and the...

    Roche Insight Pump

Well I didn't know it was USB !! A lot of days we don't move so I wouldn't use the engine battery - but as we have a 12v charger for the lappy I can attach the lappy to charge - then plug the thing into the lappy. Does the 360 degree software still work or have they got new ?

    Roche Insight Pump

ROFL - I don't have two adjacent hours with the same rate hardly! My Combo will be 4 in May, and I've been looking forward to getting the Insight - didn't realise until I had to fill the reservoirs for the Combo how much I've always hated drawing up, getting rid of air bubbles, or how much...

    diabetes low libido

Speaking as a female, loss of libido is a complete bummer. I do have a lovely husband who has NP in that area but unfortunately because it gives him pleasure and is a real turn-on for him, he does not seem able (whether by poor original design or training/experience) to appreciate that it is...

Foot update 4 - not good news

And reducing your blood sugar can actually make neuropathy seem far worse for a period (more painful etc) and THEN - it starts to get better! And re PAD - my GP tells me that walking is by far the best thing anyone with PAD can do cos it helps the blood vessels proliferate. So assuming your...

    Diabetes Related Eyes

I'd just like to say that I have one tiny spot of 'background retinopathy' on one eye which hasn't worsened in at least 15 years. It was first found at opticians and at the time (pre-retinal photograhy!) and the Endo then in charge of us said that the O had got better eyesight than him! I...

    Information re: Insurance Policies

Re: Information re: Insurance - Help Wanted! Hee hee - always had the bank Account cover since they invented it - as you say NP with having D as long as you tell em (think they may have asked me a few Q's on control etc which is fair enough) So full of confidence, after I had my mental...

    WHY SO HIGH ?

Hmmmmm - there is a school of thought that says we Diabolics are better to exercise v. strenuously/longer than 20 mins only every 48 hours rather than daily - the interval is to allow the effects to work out of the system and get you back to normal before you start again. Then you should be...

    Significant Sudden Hair Loss

Hair Loss is a very common effect of untreated Thyroid trouble and many many peeps with Diabetes also have thyroid problems - both 'auto-immune' conditions. Treated relatively simply with tablets in most cases, although may take a little while to get exact dose sorted out. I strongly suspect...
