    Type 1 Shielding for diabetics

Completely agree. My brother & dad are type 1 like me & my son. They both received shielding letters but me & my son didn’t. We live 50 miles away. Looks like the shielding letters come under some sort of postcode lottery.

I'm fine with injecting, but not with testing??

I started testing a few years ago - after a cold winter - just on the palm of my hand. Think it’s called the heal on your hand. Bleeds easily. Can squeeze it without pain. It’s a big area too. But try ask your diabetic nurse for a Libre trial.

Then his son,my half brother was born diabetic & also suffered epileptic fits. I developed diabeties at 14 after I was beaten up at school again we blamed...

Re: Would you prefer to be on insulin injections or on a pum My brother fought for years & finally got an Omnipod. He's had very poor control & was born diabetic. I've been type 1 from 14. He is so much better now & has recommended I should also ask for the same pod. Seems to be a bit of a...
