    Waitrose coffee shop madness

That however is not what I said. Changing would increase wastage as most will always refuse healthy options. I sat in a pub recently and must have heard 99% of people refuse salad & go for chips. Using these corporations in anyway is supporting those who make people sick in the first place. A...

    Waitrose coffee shop madness

As diabetics many of us stick to food & drinks we have found work for us & more importantly which don't. Personally I know that my home made bread & brown basmati rice are my thing along with only eating vegetables that grow above the ground. I also love a Mocha coffee. However when I leave my...

What Yogurts Brands do you use

I make my yoghurt in a maker from Lakeland (£20) You then have the choice of milk you use. I often strain it to make it thicker if I use skimmed milk (remove 300ml per 1L of yoghurt). You can also strain it for about 36 hours and end up with a creamy yoghurt cheese, you can flavor them as you wish.

    Bit freaked out by symptoms

Non diabetics blood sugars return to normal very quickly. Eating a sweet food two hours before a finger prick test would indicate if his body had produced enough insulin to deal with the carbohydrate. As I understand it would be similar to the tests pregnant women have, commonly known as the...

    Sharps Bin

It's not about which type of diabetes one has. If you have items on your persecution that once used become a 'bio hazard' (pen needles & finger prickers etc) these need to be incinerated. It seems from the posts here that different areas have different set ups. Here in Hastings the first bin is...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Soup? I doubt soup is the problem but what has been souped may have been. Many people forget a good wholesome soup made with root veg will put BG through the roof owing to the carb in root veg. I now only eat veg that grows above the ground.
