    Thanks for the reply. I also have never drunk a great deal and have to try and force myself. My kidneys are fine as far as I'm aware.

    I hope it's ok to ask what may be a stupid question. If you don't drink enough (especially in this challenging weather) does your blood get more concentrated and therefore your blood sugar also, potentially giving a higher reading? Sorry if I'm being dim.
