    Insulin resistance

What I’m going to say is anathema on this site. I’ve been Type 2 since the early 90's. In the last three years I’ve had to change me off oral meds because of kidney disease and cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation Abe all that goes with it. Have a pacemaker (crtd). Put on30 kilos since...

    Insulin resistance

Several dietitians actually. In Australia. Though talking low carb as Lichfield is not a big thing here. I’m glad it’s working for you, but I'd like to note that we're not all the same, and one doctors magic potion for one may well be another diabetics poison.

    Insulin resistance

Hi, loss of appetite is among the most common side effects of trulicity. It eases over time. I had to get off it because of kidney disease, but it was also sedating me, a much less common side effect.

When testing should you use a different finger (thumb) each time?...

Try pumping your arm and clenching your fist a bit before testing, like you would for a blood test. Works for me. Just gets the blood really moving.

    Trulicity - not working?

First up we're all individual. Started trulicity November last year and stopped in February this year. My numbers dropped a little almost immediately, mostly because I felt too sick to eat. Longer term it stopped the highs but didn’t lower bsl much at all. 1 or 2 mmol. Sorry Aussie so we...

How much Insulin you are taking? Just curious

Yep. I've had dilated cardiomyopathy but my heart is now great, renal failure and various bits and pieces. Balancing it all especially during big my heart recovery has been hard. But I actually worry about low carb and the impact on kidneys and liver. Just have to be less sensitive. Thank you.

How much Insulin you are taking? Just curious

I’m on lantus and novo rapid. Recently dropped trulicity And Metformin. I’m seeing my endo on Monday for support. My heart has now recovered so I can exercise but my kidneys are dicey. So it’s going to be trial and error. Finding around 20u lantus pre sleep, and between 25 and 15u bolus...
