    Diabetic Course called Connect?

Thanks, the Diabetic nurse referred me today. My hba1c has increased as has my weight - gain appears to be connected to being peri-menopausal. Not sure how I stop that. I eat healthily & exercise a real lot. When I get details on the course I will post details. Thanks

Low Carb & A Lot Of Excercise

I have been diagnosed as type 2 but at first they thought I was type 1 as glucose was so high but my lifestyle was so good. Not that keen to do low carb, just wondered how others coped with it & exercising. There’s a lot of carb bashing tv programmes on in the UK at the moment & this week...

Type 2 How do I deal with the stress of being newly diagnosed?

Agree entirely, unfortunately some practitioners are negative,?had not nice experience with a nurse at doctors, told me she had no equipment in her room (I wasn’t even weighed) - this was 48 hours after diagnosis. Fortunately I got referred to clinic at hospital who are simply amazing...

Type 2 How do I deal with the stress of being newly diagnosed?

Sometimes high blood pressure is white coat syndrome - fear of medics. When I attended the diabetic clinic it was high when the nurse took it but 45 mins later when the Consultant took it - it was fine :-)

Hi, I got a prescription from NHS Diabetes Doctor in Scotland but Boots Chemist say its a Private one even though it has my NHS GP name on. Prescription cones to £31 (gulp). Waiting for a call back from GP but is this right that these are not available on NHS like the drug I am taking. In...
