    Confused about me and food

This is so encouraging! I am already planning my low carb ‘elimination diet’ to find out what I can tolerate. Last time I did this I used an app to track my carbs and had <50g carbs a day so will do the same again. Thank you for sharing your experience, it really helps.

    Confused about me and food

Thank you, this is very encouraging to read! If you have the time I would love to have some ideas of what you can enjoy eating. I am a keen cook but am losing confidence because many of the things I used to enjoy seem to hate me now, lol

    Confused about me and food

I do remember seeing posts by a few people who had their gall bladders removed who had no difficulty with low carb. I am going to try to figure things out by process of elimination I think. Lean meats like chicken are no problem at all but things like belly pork, which I love, will give me a...

    Confused about me and food

I have not tried some of the protein sources you suggest, but will give them a go. Pulses and chickpeas don’t agree with me in quantity but I do enjoy them in small quantities. I do enjoy all vegetables and fruits. Thank you for your advice, some good ideas for me.

    A Bit Of Encouragement....

Hi all, just a word of encouragement for anyone struggling with their blood glucose and wondering if the low carb programme is worth the effort: it really works! I have been overweight for 35 years and diabetic for four years. At Easter my fasting BG was 23.9 and I felt awful. My GP put me on...

T2s: What was your fasting BG this morning, and what did you eat yesterday?

I was travelling yesterday coming back from three weeks touring holiday so my diet yesterday was poor: 1 croissant, jambon beurre baguette, half a small lemon meringue tart (I know) some strawberries, roasted chicken with roasted...

    Xylitol - good or bad?

I know what you mean about black coffee Hankjam, I love it. In fact I was just reading this morning (over my coffee) about how it stimulates the production of dopamine in the brain to make us feel happy.
