    Cholesterol Trigs help

Hello, Getting my HbA1c down nicely and my weight too with LCHF. However in the last three months my trigs have gone from 0.95 to 1.8. Overall still 4.4 HDL 1.33 LDL 2.25 All largely unchanged. Was just wondering if there may be something causing that trig rise. Any help is much appreciated.

Low carb high fibre help please

Try almonds. High fat and lower protein and carbs. Tons of fibre. There are studies that suggest 28g of almonds (small handful) after a meal will help reduce blood sugar. Give it a try.

Best replacement for sugar in tea / coffee ?

I take both with full fat milk but no sugar. Perhaps try some 70% or higher chocolate with a brew. It works. Lindt high cocoa (70 and above) is high fat and low carb/sugar. You only need a couple of squares at a time. I have 90%, two squares with a brew once a day. Does the trick.

    What Am I Missing Here?

Can’t really fault the diet. Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with your other conditions but as has been suggested, possibly they are affecting BG levels? I hope you get to the bottom of it.

Got Fed Up And Fell Off The Wagon

Hi. Before I settle on adding something to my diet I generally test every hour to see how the land lies. The meal in question never goes above 2 mmol. However, you’re definitely right because I have experienced what you describe, I just never knew the cause. Thanks.

Got Fed Up And Fell Off The Wagon

I have had some success since diagnosis and my diet has changed to LCHF. However, I do not restrict myself when I go out for a meal or a family celebration. I try to make better choices, such as a mixed grill, but I will have the chips. Once a month or so I will have a kebab or pizza when the...

Stop Keto Now - The Mice Have Spoken!

I think the real issue here is the media making blanket statements that the general population will just assume to be true because, you know, Science! It has been shown here in a very short amount of time that the people in the know can quickly debate this article and pick holes in it if there...

Stop Keto Now - The Mice Have Spoken!

Hello, Just come across this article. https://news.sky.com/story/keto-diets-could-increase-diabetes-risk-11465771 As per usual with this kind of thing it all seems a bit fishy and is based on mice. It does say that diabetics have been shown to benefit from Keto but in doing so contradicts...

2nd Official Dn Visit After Great Hba1c

Thanks for all the support guys. I am happy with the results. Just feel like certain NHS staff would be happy if we were all ‘chronically progressing’. Then they could feel smug and not undermined.

Hey guys, I had my first follow up with the DN yesterday. I got my results over the phone as DN was on holiday and so this is...
