What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

9.4 at 8 am but it did stay in the 7s through the night. I tried eating some cheese at 11.30 pm to see if the ‘eat something fatty before bed’ trick worked. Result inconclusive. Loved the story @jjraak

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Well my good behaviour having just meat and veg, 1 red wine, no dessert and only meat after 6pm on Christmas Day was rewarded with a steady 9 to 10 from 8am until 11.45 this morning so I ran 10km. That battered it down to 7.6 :-) so at least my physical effort was rewarded :-)

    C peptide results

My C peptide was 1.66 back in September, while my GAD was 0.70, at that time my Hba1c was down to 57 from 126 in June. Those tests were fasting and I was diagnosed as T2 based on that. I was told a level between 0.5 and 3 was normal but that ‘it would be nice if my level was higher because my...

Is my varying blood sugar a risk? Eye measure up today, for cataract surgery on 14th Jan 2019

Thanks @JohnEGreen @miltondogs @Cumberland @Tipetoo @DavidGrahamJones for the replies. Sorry for my tardy reply. @Cumberland , I’ve noticed the random levels you’ve posted over the months [emoji106] so that’s made me feel optimistic, and @JohnEGreen s post about the fact that nobody seems to...

Is my varying blood sugar a risk? Eye measure up today, for cataract surgery on 14th Jan 2019

Has anyone had experience of having cataract surgery while their BG is all over the place. I’m in hospital today for a measure up for my right eye. Having got my Hba1c down to 51 at the end of October my BG levels have been all over the shop for the last month. My libre says my average is 8.6...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

10.2 at 6am and up to 12.1 at 6.30, all rather mystifying after 7.5 at 9pm, 2 hours after dinner last night. Yes it’s DP but far worse than it was. I’ve left home really early so after a 1.5 mile walk to the station got me down to 11.1, I’m hoping a 2 mile stroll across London will get me to a...
