I had been a long serving member of the armed forces, a mountain leader, an experienced long distance hiker, a vegetarian, non-drinker, non-smoker with no family history of diabetes. I was diagnosed Type2 immediately after Christmas 2007 !! Happy New Year.... It's one hell of a steep learning...
