Have just been prescribed 25mg Alogliptin to take alongside 2x500mg Metformin (reduced from 3 to 2 because of diarrhea problems. Has anyone had any issues with Alogliptin, although not listed I am getting constipation after taking this tablet.

Unlikely after such a short time. I was prescribed 10mg and had thrush twice in 4 weeks and came off the drug after only 6 weeks. No further side effects once the thrush subsided after 3/4 days.

Caneston duo (pill and cream) is a lot more than a prescripton, eg £14 so can be prescribed I thought Diabetics did not have to pay for presdcriptions anyway
