    Frustration

Hi can anyone else relate? I’m not meaning to disrespect fellow diabetics here, but does anyone else get really annoyed when you visit Diabetic forums and it’s constantly full of “perfect diabetic” posts? E.g. “I’ve had diabetes for x years and I’m able to keep my insulin units to practically...

    1st diaversary coming up

Why can’t you have cake? Have you not been taught how to ratio your insulin levels with your carb input? I’m type 1 and have been since I was 11 years old - I eat chocolate and cakes etc. all the time! Well not all the time but you get my point?! As long as you match your carb / sugar intake...

Self isolation for 12 weeks ?????

Type 1 I'm sick and have ketones in my urine and last BG was 20.7. What do I do?

I wouldn’t worry overly yet, but if it keeps on increasing post QA insulin then start to worry. My BG readings are regularly over 20 post meal. The way I’ve figured it is like this for me. My QA is Novo Rapid. Since having Libre I’ve discovered my QA peaks at around 4 hours so I don’t see any...

    Tired of type 1

Hi Pancreas problems! I was diagnosed type 1 insulin dependent at the age of 11 so I know how tough it is with diabetes from a young age. I am sorry to have to tell you this but in my experience - I want to just point this out this has happened to me but won't necessarily happen to you! - it may...
