    Don't think that's a bad idea to be honest although some will advocate dietary change alone but I think that diet AND meds is best at the start and then think about reducing/eliminating meds?

    Well done so far....but as you say yourself it is a long road........but it IS possible to put this horrible condition into remission......sometimes with meds,sometimes with diet and sometimes with a mixture of both....you will,with persistence,self testing and experience learn the best road for YOU

    you should be fine......I've done that before and just took half of the next 2 doses at their allotted time......theoretically gradually sliding back into correct lower metformin level in my system

    I did thrive on it.....although working there probably helped LOL Back home now and resisting temptation(although to be fair steak/bacon/cheese,grilled lamb and roasted veg are hard to beat......yummy for my tummy and good for me too!!)

    No....the footprick thing is the one I mean....is that the one done by the diabetes nurse who said it's unrelated? If so then it may well be unrelated........i.e a bunion or something like that......either way please keep an eye on it!!

    Have you had a neuropathy test? If not I suggest you request one......I may be a bit over cautious when it comes to feet but having lost a toe to this condition I think I'm entitled to be?
