Ooh what you studying? I do musical theatre, hence the performance for assessment last night. I still use a pen and paper, but a lot of people do take laptops into lectures. Lots of power points!

Morning all I'm very sleepy after last night. Had my final practical assessment for my second year of uni. The BS were actually amazing for me yesterday. That really is a tough one. I think if I were in that situation, being aware of the signs, I would rather live in ignorance rather than worrying day in day out if/when it will start. But that's just me. Of course, knowing and planning for it would be more comforting to some people. The...

Oh wow! I'll be interested to have a read of this, thank you And of course, I believe that diabetes does not have to change the way in which you live your life, I just know that it will always have to be taken into consideration along whatever it is I plan to do. But I plan to control it and...

Thanks for the replies everyone. Unfortunately this particular lecturer likes to try and council us whenever he gets the chance. And needless to say, yesterday, he only made me feel worse. So no I will not hide in the toilet whenever I need to inject. And I will tell people if it comes up in...

Evening all, Sorry I've been AWOL for the past couple of days. Turns out coming back to uni has had more of an affect on my mental health than I thought it would. Had an interesting conversation with my lecturer today... he said that I have a pessimistic outlook on life and that I should try to...

After yesterday I plan on having a more chilled day. One little rehearsal and the essay can be worked on from the comfort of my bed. I will be so happy when uni is finished for the year!

I love at least looking through recipe books, even if I'm not very good at following through with cooking them! I do own a few, but more of a baker myself. Now I do very much have a sweet tooth! Yesterday I had to watch my friend eat a slice of cake in Costa whilst I sat there and ate my ham...

Night all, Thanks for the advice today. I will tell everyone, just maybe not straight away. The most important people all know, so that's the main thing And yes, one person I told today immediately started telling me about their family members with T2 [emoji23] An early one for me tonight...

How come now that I'm back at uni and on campus that I suddenly have an overwhelming feeling of not wanting to tell anyone about my T1? Also no progress on getting the levels down... now starting to wonder if it was the change to levemir that's caused this

I just kept thinking that she must be lucky her daughter was (supposedly) willing to make these massive changes to her diet. If that were me at that age, it would have been a struggle. I'm not the best at eating veg and such even now, bit I'm nowhere near as fussy as I used to be when I was a kid!
