    They pan out pretty good. I was worried about the basal having a big effect with the running but its so slow acting its fine. I also don't adjust the rapid down after my first meal, just eat a small snack if it does go a bit low, I eared the extra snack on the run :-)

    I haven't seen my BG in single figures in a week now... basal or bolus issue?

    Sometimes, when things are just not working for a while, in the back of my mind I get this voice saying "bad insulin". I'm sure the quality control is excellent on these things but it doesn't stop me thinking it. I remember binning the vial I was on at time as the doses were not doing anything.

    The Abasaglar and NovoRapid are really working well for me, feels like I have total control. I can tell immediately that my hba1c will be lower next time.

    I run three times a week, usually 5k each time but throw the odd 5 mile in now and then. If I run in the morning I just inject basal and don't have any breakfast, I have something to eat when I get home. If I run at dinner time then I won't have my meal till after the run.

    Thanks for all the answers, it looks like I have slipped under the radar and life could have been a lot easier for a few years. I have only ever seen my GP over my diabetes until the recent referral. Guess I'll just suck it up and crack on with the new stuff. I got my type 1 at an unusual age...
