I understand what you're saying. I just thought, why is he making a joke about a chronic illness? Imagine if someone on television l, on a family show made a joke about cancer or HIV, it would be totally unacceptable, so why is it OK to make jokes surrounding diabetes of any type?

Anyone else shocked at Paul Hollywoods 'diabetes on a plate' comment when discussing a dessert on tonight's episode of GBBO? I feel like this kind of stuff just reinforces uneducated and frankly stupid ideas and questions about diabetes, for example, 'did you get it cos you eat too much cake?'...
