What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.9 this morning. I think a few g &t last night has reduced the score.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I scored 5.6 this morning at 6am. This is my first FBG under 7.4. Last night I had more carb than usual and no alcohol. I’m surprised at this result and still struggling to understand what I perceive as poor behaviour gives me a good FBG.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.4 for me this morning. I seem to always be about that level. Would like to improve that but not sure how?

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

8.2 for me this morning. I was awake for more than an hour before I tested. Maybe this affected the number? Have a good day everyone.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning all. It’s 7.7 for me this morning. I did have a spaghetti Bolognese with red wine and a G&T last night. after 2 hrs I was at 9.8 which is lower than when I had porridge or weetabix. I am rather confused by it all ‍♀️ I’m only just starting to test FBG and had expected a worse result...

    Cheat days?

I hope this isn’t too late a reply . The desserts on the buffet always look fab. Believe me though - they are tasteless and synthetic. You won’t eat many of them as they are so disappointing.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. I’m T2 and have a FBG at 8 this morning. I don’t usually test but have been advised to for a few weeks. Yesterday I had weetabix and went up to 12. 90 mins later I was at 6.1 and feeling very weak, clammy and shaky. Need to understand what’s happening. This morning I’ve had...

. It’s my first post so am grateful for the replies. I’m now planning to ditch the carbs and try again.

Opinions on this response to Weetabix

I am type 2 and have had some issues lately around weakness and vomiting. My hba1c was 50 but I was asked to record my blood glucose every morning and then 2 hours after every meal. This morning I had weetabix and unsweetened almond milk (for convenience) and after 90 minutes my score is 12.2...

    So happy about my HbA1c

Hi there. I do weights and cardio at gym 3 times a week with a PT - have done so for 3 years. I think the leap to HBA1c must have been due to a back injury that kept me out of the gym for 4 months. I’m back now and have added Zumba class to my week. I am trying the Exante shakes and bars which...

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

5.2 for me this morning. I ate about 8pm last night - I usually eat about 6pm and I wonder if this is why my fasting blood glucose is lower today than yesterday?

    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

Hello Slim Lizzy Yes the 800 calories is tough and I do get hungry. I can’t claim to have achieved 800 every Day - some days it’s been around 1000 calories. Porridge made with water before the gym, an apple sliced and spread with almond butter is a good filler and something veggie (curry or...

    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

Hi Ryhia, I am doing low calorie - trying 800 calories for a while as I believe this may help reverse my new diagnosis. I am also trying to spend my 800 calories on protein and fat foods as it goes a lot further than if I spend them on carbs. Also I keep reading about how t2 diabetics are...
