    Thanks, I haven't coped at all well with the diabetes diagnosis, I admit that. Trying to eat healthier, ham salad today, the big weight loss is worrying me though, so will go to doctors this week.

    I know that I need to lose weight and have been cutting down on the milk. Just losing the amount I have is worrying. I thought my scales were wrong, then checked on another one and still same result.

    Not testing, I tend to eat a mix of good and bad. Still have fish and chips (but split it into two portions), at one stage was having up to 10 pints of milk a day - down to 2 now, chocolate bars and trifles, sandwiches. not the kind of food that would see me lose that much weight if any.

    Reading on machine has gone down from 20 to 6 and that's with me still eating all the foods my nurse tells me not to. I was drinking too much milk, cut that down so that's that. Still eating what I want.

    I had blood tests on Christmas Eve and got my results on New Year's Eve. Blood sugar figure was 91 and I've been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Trying to read up on the subject but not easy as I have loads of work on. Was given a testing machine, that started off at 20.1, again rather high.
