What should blood sugar levels be 4 hours after eating in non diabetics?

So my readings have been going fairly well. My fasting morning glucose (IMPORTANT: able to record at 10am, so not sure if Dawn effect messes with it) is between 4.8 and 5.6 on average, and this was confirmed by a veinous blood test at 5.2 MMOL. (also at 10am) However my post meal sugar is...

Home fasting blood glucose numbers much higher than arm - are arm tests accurate?

In my local situation, only nuffield could do Hba1c. Unfortunately I have an awful relationship with my GP, and no way to change them without paying even more through the nose at nuffield. A pharmacist was actually the first to teach me about how my ongoing symptoms could be diabetic in nature...

Home fasting blood glucose numbers much higher than arm - are arm tests accurate?

I would need to discuss it with my GP first, which unfortunately leaves me a bit stuck. I need to get good evidence of my glucose while only permitted to get finger readings. :(

    Control solutions question

Heya, I just bought a new batch of test strips for my Accu Chek Performa Nano but they're giving different results from the others which seems suspicious. I still have the control solution from my old Glucorx Nexus monitor - I discarded the monitor due to how inaccurate it turned out to be...

May be diabetic, but highly confused after weeks of blood glucose readings, please help

Thank you for the reply. What concerns me with the discrepancies is how one minute I can be within normal range, and the next, with virtually no difference, I can be in the diabetic range. It makes it hard to tell which reading is the truth.

May be diabetic, but highly confused after weeks of blood glucose readings, please help

I hope everyone can help, as this is the latest in a series of attempts to try and find the cause of long term chest and sleep problems in my body. - I used a GlucoRx Nexus meter until I saw it had poor reviews, so I switched to a Accu Chek Performa Nano. Suddenly my blood glucose readings...
