    At diagnosis was 9.6 On 7th nov 2012. I thought it was 13.6 but had it mixed up with another figure. 1st Hba1c test in feb since diagnosis was down to 6 in old money, 42 in new money. Mainly down to low carbing

    Diagnosed t2 2 weeks tomorrow. BG readings coming down nicely. However, getting a bit bored with diet from time to time to say the least. What do people try when they get an urge for things like pastry and things like desserts etc. could kill a New York cheesecake right now

    Daibell. Thanks for the tips. I will get used to it. To be fair, when I had that muesli I think I did use an Alan partridge size dish as I was so hungry. I need to get used to the fact that fat is bad in excess but not as bad as carbs. I will get there

    Hi Daibell it was no added salt or sugar meusli from sainsburys. prob had too much as i went to bed hungry rather than snack as i would have done before. Thought meusli would be harmless. I have an awful lot to learn

    Can checking your bloods just after a hot bath affect the readings? My readings have been encouraging for the last day or so including a fasting reading this morning of 7.6 and now my latest reading 1.5 hrs after breakfast of muesli, skimmed milk and a couple of strawberries is 17.0
