I also have the same problem with my Minimed 640, and regularly get this message on the pump.

I always use the cap, because that is why they included it... don't suppose it really makes a huge difference...

Dear Elizabeth, you should never reuse needles because the insulin that remains in the needle turns to crystals and prevents a full dose being given. That is what my Specialist told me.
