Issue with Libre - blank screen

Abbott sent me an email. I had to uninstall the libre app, then reinstall. I reinstalled by going into the app store, press the icon on the top right, then press purchased, at the librelink press the cloud to reinstall. I was without libre for 3 days, it's working now.

More of a thought than a question

Hi, when I was first diagnosed just over a year ago, I certainly had heightened anxiety. I felt my coping mechanisms were full. I put a lot of how I felt was down to feeling very alone in trying to cope with diabetes, health care professionals didn't listen to me. Even after starting insulin I...

    GAD test results

Hi Gemma, I was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago aged 56, prescribed metformin and diet. I also was a normal weight. The first year after diagnosis, I lost nearly 4 stone (I was skin and bone) with uncontrolled blood sugars, progressively becoming more unwell. It was a battle, after several...

    struggling atm

Hello, i'm sadden to hear how unwell and upset you are. I hope you are getting the health care you need? Be kind to yourself, and take your insulin. The one thing i've learnt is type 1 diabetes isn't easy, it doesn't always work out, it's frustrating, and I often wonder 'why can't I get this...

    Newly Diagnosed Type 1

Hi, I was diagnosed type 1 a year ago aged 58. Misdiagnosed as type 2, until I had lost over 3 stone and becoming very unwell. I suppose it was a relief to finally be listened to. The first few months are hard, like you I had panic moments, I think my coping limit had been reached and I couldn't...

    Hunger after injecting

I was started on Insulin in March this year after being diagnosed with LADA. I went through a phase of extreme hunger, not normal hunger. I still get it but it's now when my blood sugar is dropping after a spike, not necessarily low but may go that way? I try and stick to 3 meals a day, no...

    Help needed please!

This is what happened to me in Feb this year. I yoyo'd between A&E and the GP, with high blood sugars, losing 1-2lbs in weight a day, weight loss approaching 4 stone in a year. Feeling very unwell, A&E saying 'ah you were here yesterday', there's quite a queue!! But I kept phoning the GP...

    It's hard...

Thank you. The nausea is a bit intermittent now, that's 2 weeks. So hopefully i'll get used to it I think I've just been naive to think the insulin would mean I could go back to being my non diabetic self! I've been sticking to lower carb, but not extreme like before I was on insulin, that was...

    It's hard...

Thank you. The Levemir is split into 2 doses, morning and evening. Can Fiasp cause nausea? About an hour after having the Fiasp I feel a bit nauseous and horrid hunger. Hunger without wanting to eat!

    It's hard...

Diagnosed in May with LADA, having struggled with an initial diagnosis of Type 2 for a year. I was on novomix from March until 2 weeks ago, now on Levemir and Fiasp. For some reason I had in my head it would get easier, but it hasn't really. The swings are just bigger, I have had a few more...

    Positive LADA

My initial HbA1c wasn't too bad 50. In fact it improved 3 months later to 47, and I though i'd sorted it with a few dietary changes. But then over the following months my blood sugars became more labile and I cut out more and more types of foods. 8 months after diagnosis I had days where I felt...

    Positive LADA

I thought I was going mad, trying to explain to everyone how little I was eating and still having high blood sugars. I'm glad I spoke to a different diabetic nurse at the gp's and he said straight away, 'ur not type 2'. I think I was on the verge of a crisis, losing a lb a day, and feeling...

    Positive LADA

I am on novomix at the minute, but waiting on an appt with the diabetic nurse to change this. I am looking forward to have more flexibility with when I eat. I eat to a schedule at the minute which isn't always convenient. I don't mind putting on a bit of weight, to plump my skin up, but then...

    Positive LADA

Hopefully I can get back to a healthy diet. Keto plus virtual starvation trying to manage my blood sugars just didn't work before insulin. I'm waiting for an appt with the diabetic nurse to change my insulin. I'll ask about libre, it'll be nice to work diabetes around my life rather than the...

    Positive LADA

My test results have come back positive LADA. Sort of relieved, as I thought I was being incompetent, not managing my blood sugars. But at the same time thinking why, not sure i'll get that answer. I've stopped losing weight since starting insulin in March, so that's good, need to put a little...
