    Type 2 Fasting blood sugar

I’ve previously posted before for my hubby. DN has added a new tablet Alogluptin to Metformin and waking blood sugars had started to come down from 10 to 8.4 and bedtime last night was 8.9 not ideal but a lot better but this morning on waking it was 12.9 - why/what would cause that?

Thank you - since my post we have been keeping records ahead of the 23rd and his HbA1c which was done today and I’ve been mindful of what has been eaten and the effect on his BG, last night before bed his BG was 6.7, on waking this morning it was 11.1, could this be anything to do with the...

I’m quite aware it’s not ideal but considering what he was eating before, the changes we made got his HbA1c down to 49, I think the Nurse realised that although not ideal, it was a big change for him, and any change was a work in progress and I have counted the carbs and sugar in everything that...

Thank you, he doesn’t have milk, eats cereal dry, I understand where you’re coming from re bread and sugar free water but this is how we managed the initial diagnosis and GP was very happy but somewhere along the line something has changed

He was diagnosed as prediabetic in October 2019 and type 2 in March 20, by end of 20 we had changed diet a lot cutting out biscuits, crisps, chocolate and alcohol and HbA1c was back down to 49. October 20 he started feeling fatigued, muscle weakness and generally under the weather, but...

Is there any particular reason why it’s 12.2 the reason I ask is my husband is type 2 it was under control having lost a bit of weight and changed diet but he’s been unwell for 18 months, GP said it was his diabetes in June last year so put him on Metformin but this hasn’t lowered his glucose...
