Ypsomed loop / Medtronic 780g/ Tslim

I know it’s been years but I wanted to pass on some information to everyone here that contributed to this thread so, 11 months after having the T-Slim and Dexcom G6 I went to hospital and saw a different consultant, my glucose was all over the place with the T-Slim, I was always in the 20 and...

Can you just stop taking statins and metformin

I asked my doctor the same question, it I told him I was stopping, I didn’t ask, he agreed to it, but I think he may have discussed this with the other doctors, and he called me back, he said it’s for precautionary measures, as I stopped I got no symptoms of withdrawal, so I went back on it...

Oh no, it just gets worse, where did find that out? I know the price between the quick set and mio is around £35 difference. Thanks for the heads up.

What pump do you want and what are the infusion sets like?

I too was on the Animas, I really loved that Pump, but my glucose was so out of control, I went to the next pump, which I can’t think of right now? I’m off to the hospital Monday, I will ask for the Mio, as the ones I’m on I hate, I was on the T-Slim but my bloods barely got below 20! The...

What pump do you want and what are the infusion sets like?

I’m just wonder what everyone is on and what pump will be your be your next and why, are the infusion set good? I think personally Roche has the best infusion set ever, for the insight, never itched and what a great insertion tool that was, My best pump so far and I’ve had 6 is the Medtronic...

Dexcom G6 - issues with skin reactions

I was on the Dexcom G6 and my site was so sore, itching was bad and I remember a few times I ripped it off, as the itching was driving me insane. I had like cracked skin that went hard and flaky ! I used that cavilon, sprayed it, then waited and did another coat, still itched, a lovely Irish...

    Medtronic 780g with simplera sync

I think as we all know, some things work better for others, the pump is the best ( I loved my Animas pump ) but I just don’t like the sensor, perhaps a few tweaks and firmware updates may help? Hey ho, stuck with it now for over 3 more years!

    Medtronic 780g with simplera sync

Oh perhaps it was early 2003 onwards? The name would be Daf without the forward and backward slash? Getting old

    Medtronic 780g with simplera sync

I don’t think it’s unrealistic? I was reading 9 took my bloods and I was actually 4.5 so to me that wildly out, a CGM should have tolerances, to be out all the time is unacceptable, Dexcom was never out, if it was, it was by a fraction of 0.2 or 0.3. Abbots are manufacturing the Simplera, the...

    Medtronic 780g with simplera sync

I now got the transmitter, charged it up took the simplera to off, faffed about with the Guardian infusion set, it’s like wallpapering yourself with stickers, Jesus what a utter mess, up and running, took bloods last thing at night out of calibration by 2 I give up

    Medtronic 780g with simplera sync

Medtronic have just given me the Guardian 4 without a transmitter, it just gets better, took my bloods again last night, the pump read 6.6 I was 4.4 so the Frosties came out at 12:30 am and went to bed, because I know I would have had another hypo. Why can’t they just use Dexcom, although...

    Mounjaro and heel pain

I just re read my message to you, I’m sorry it’s all over the place, **** phone and predictive text! I found salt has an effect on me, it’s strange what it can do? Was this happening to you just a little bit before the jab? I would certainly call the quacks and ask for advice? Have you got...

    Medtronic 780g with simplera sync

I was on the T-Slim and Dexcom, like you, I found the T-Slim algorithms were “slack” I was only on that for 1.5 years and the first year, I had to pay the Dexcom myself, wasn’t happy at all with that, but my bloods were always high, so my consultant asked me if I would like to go on the...

well novo rapid pump cart supply problems

Hello, I moved away from Novo rapid as my cartridges were always full of air bubbles, having worked in the pharmaceutical industry for nearly 20 years, I wrote to Novo Nordisk and complained, told them they need better QA control, they said nothing was wrong! Unbelievable, I could use mine as a...

Ypsomed loop / Medtronic 780g/ Tslim

I highly recommend the Tslim with the Dexcom, I’m self funding and it’s made a massive difference to my glucose levels, I have the Control IQ which controls the highs and lows so much better, I have Dawn syndrome at around 4 am and the pump sorts this out in sleep mode, my glucose level...
