Anyone having issues with pharmacy supply of Fiasp Insulin?

Yes, I'm having problems getting Fiasp. Had a prescription request approved on the 21st of August and have been back to the pharmacy several times in the intervening fortnight to be told 'it is coming in tomorrow/after the weekend', but it doesn't seem to ever arrive. I'm on my last cartridge...

Nice that she can afford it, unlike many other T1s, unless she gets her on prescription, unlike many T1s if they live in the wrong postcode area. Either way privilege pays...

I'd do it in small steps if you do and give each step a couple of days to take effect :)

    Levemir Split Doses

I have recently been using the Libre to get patterns and CGM trends, not as pinpoint accurate as the Dexcom, but enough to get a good idea of what is going on between finger prick tests and easy and painless to apply :)

    Levemir Split Doses

I know! It wasn't always like that, used to be 10 units at night and 3 in the morning, but following a virus, I developed a habit of going high in the early hours of the morning, despite going to bed in target and also needed more QA at meal times. Under guidance from my consultant and DSN we...

    Sooooo Stooopid!!

I have done the same thing, was half way though injecting a 31 unit dose of Levemir when I realised it was my Novorapid pen in my hand. I pulled it out immediately, and insulin continued to squirt out of the needle. The pen showed that I'd delivered 21 units, but I didn't know how many of them...

How Much Did Your Basal Increase At The End Of Your Honeymoon Period?

The morning dose came about as a suggestion during my DAFNE course, the evening dose did go up gradually, but now seems to have stopped still for the last 10 months

How Much Did Your Basal Increase At The End Of Your Honeymoon Period?

I was on 10 units of Levemir once a day (10pm) when I was first diagnosed and that lasted about 18 months to two years. I am now on 31 units at 10pm and another 3 units in the morning

    Sleep: Signs of a hypo?

Some people will have symptoms like you describe during and after hypos, so could be related. Difficulty in regulating temperature can be signs of other medical conditions so worth speaking to a doctor I think :)

    P.E carbs

Does he reduce his insulin dose prior to the PE lesson? My daughter reduces hers by up to 20% before PE and I do the same whenever I'm exercising (which isn't as often as her :)). If not, it might be worth discussing this with your PDSN :)

10 year old son was diagnosed with T1D 1 month ago.

Hi, my 13 year old daughter was diagnosed in January. We were able to hit the ground running a bit, as I was diagnosed 5 years ago so know the drill, but the lifestyle of a teen is very different from mine so still a steep learning curve! We are getting there though :)

    Type 1 School

On top of the upset of coming to terms with the diagnosis, swings in blood glucose levels play havoc with your emotions and moods (ask my wife and kids!!), but this will improve with time as your daughter gets into a routine and her blood sugar levels are better controlled. :)
