    Metformin and back pain

    I am newly diagnosed after being pre-diabetic a while. Was put on the extended release metformin after regular metformin wasn’t cuttin it for my blood sugar. Have experienced dull low back pain and nausea since. First few days were really bad nausea/diarrhea which has now lessened after 6 days...
