What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

    Fair enough, that makes sense.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Interestingly, my levels are varied with Weetabix. Some days, they remain the same, other days, I get a bit of a spike, but it comes back down after. Currently tucking into a chicken salad sandwich

Have you ever had animals with diabetes?

We used to have a beautiful Border Collie many years ago that unfortunately grew overweight and was diagnosed as Diabetic due to my neglectful Father, thankfully removed from the scene shortly after. Ironically, my Mum could only get her to eat the medication by wedging it into a cheeky treat...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

How come you can't eat Weetabix anymore out of interest? Yeah, I've been trying to cut out unnecessary sugars and fats for years. The cheeky treat is fine, but that balance and variety have always helped. Easier said than done however.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

So far today; Weetabix when I woke up earlier, and recently a small portion of dark chocolate with a small glass of orange juice to help with the hypo. I tend to eat Chicken, Eggs or Tuna for lunch and Chicken, Fish or similar foods rich in fibre and protein at Dinner.

    Joint Pain

Long time no speak! Having; been on Insulin for nearly a year, maintaining a good diet and 2-3 hours of exercise a week, I've reduced my overall HB1AC from 114 down to 47, maintaining a stable weight for my height. Ironic that my levels have only dropped as my weight has increased. Bare in...

    Joint Pain

Having already removed a lot of Carbohydrates, and unhealthy foods (and maintaining this for the last few years), the pain has only seemed to have come back since increasing my doses of Insulin. I hope it's something that will settle down in time.

    Joint Pain

I finally managed to get hold of my Diabetic Nurse. Well, she got hold of me. Typical, she tried calling me and left me a voicemail the moment I was away from my phone! Anyway, I'd misplaced the contact E-Mail (having no luck with their phone number), but recently managed to get hold of them...

    Joint Pain

My B12 recently came back high. This was because however, I was told by my previous GP (where I used to live) to take Vitamin B12 supplements as a means of counteracting the fatigue I suffer. No mentions of any Vitamin D deficiency, though I have experienced that and Anemia before. Again, will...

    Joint Pain

It was my insistence that made GPs reassess my Type 2 when I moved into a new area last year, and re-diagnosed me as LADA. so I'll persist in the same way to make sure it's investigated and hopefully resolved. Thankyou! Whether it's related to the joint pain or not, I've also noticed a...

I'm not on the Sitagliptin or Glicalzide anymore. Only the Metformin and Insulin. Haha, thanks.

    Joint Pain

Thankyou. Yeah, I haven't been a manual worker, but have and am always active. Unsure if that's got something to do with it. :hilarious: Thanks! I'm genuinely surprised the name wasn't already taken!

No, no other medication. I am on Toujeo as well as Novorapid, so that could be a possibility. I'll discuss this at my next GP and Diabetic Nurse appointments. Thankyou!
