Interesting! Here’s my data from the app.

    Hypo’s and type 2

Is it a normal occurrence for someone with type 2 to have hypos? In the last 48 hours (currently using a libre 2 sensor) I’ve had two instances where my blood sugar has dropped to 3.1 and then 3.0 at random times. I’m not on insulin. Thanks in advance

    Type 2 & Fatty Liver - questions

Apologies I’ve edited the post now. I meant to say almost 0 carbs! Although I am on a very low calorie diet in conjunction.

    Type 2 & Fatty Liver - questions

Hi all, I’ve just had my most recent blood tests done and I was a little disappointed my Hba1c had raised to 44 from 40 this time last year although I’ve been very strict although the GP reassured me I’m still on track (I take metformin along with an almost 0 carb diet). However they also...

    Libre 2 understanding readings

Thanks - I’m near the end of my trial now and these are my results. So if that continued, would that indicate a HBA1C of 31 or thereabouts?

    Highs followed by lows

Amazing thanks for the advice - what is a reasonable level for a spike to peak at (should they occur) after 2 hours I’m always back within the ‘normal’ ranges. Thanks

    Highs followed by lows

Thanks for the reply - my morning fasting levels are usually in the region of 5-5.5. I don’t feel any symptoms. I actually take 10mg of Dapagliflizon alongside (apparently this is beneficial to my high blood pressure and non alcoholic fatty liver) alongside the diabetes. Thanks

    Highs followed by lows

Thanks - I’ve had about 3 or 4 episodes which appear to be under 3.5mmol. Here’s one of the ones from yesterday which as you can see shows a rapid decline. What could this indicate if not the common scenario for most type 2’s. Thanks

    Highs followed by lows

So after almost a week using the libre 2. My average is 5.8mmol - which seems to be reasonable. I have however over the last week experienced some fast and drastic declines following a spike. For example after dinner last night I hit 9.2 and then I was down to 7.3 around an hour later followed...

Wow so that would be a Hba1c in the 20’s that’s fantastic..

    Libre 2 understanding readings

You certainly can - when you say at all times do you mean that exact reading or as an average. If as an average my current is showing 6.3 Thanks

    Libre 2 understanding readings

Also thanks for sharing this - I have own question though. This guide points to being under 8.5 at the highest end of the scale. Why does the libre record anything under 10 as being in the target area? That’s a whole 1.5mmol higher! Thanks

    Libre 2 understanding readings

I am - I tend to jump quite heavily with any sort of carb. I really see the significance of cutting them right down now. Thanks

    Libre 2 understanding readings

Hi all, I’m 48 hours into my libre 2 free trial. The app says my average has been 6.3mmol My highest spike has been to 8.8 and I’ve always been around 7-7.5 about two hours after eating. My time in range has been 100% so far. Does this sound like I’m on track and are these stats quite...

Giving blood with Type 2 - thoughts?

So there's apparently no issues with continuing to donate blood with type 2 (non insulin requiring). Does anyone do this and or is it known to affect HBA1C for the better or worse? Thanks

Questions around HbA1c and Type 2 management

Thanks - that's very similar to my Hba1c and to my dosage. I have been considering fasting, I'll do some research on it.
