    My readings are in the late 6’s within 20 minutes of getting up. I believe it maybe put down to poor sleeping and continually worrying. This increasing cortisol and thus the release of glucose for the fight or flight syndrome. If that makes sense.

    Can I ask how long it took to see a decline in your readings? I have dramatically changed my diet to, with reducing the carbs you refer to. I seem to be struggling with a high reading in the morning with it dropping throughout the day. Any help/advice would be appreciated.
