Hi, I'm new hear and I have a question. I'm a Type1 diabetic and have never been anywhere hot to experience this before. My BS have gone mad, they are so high, I take a correction dose but 2hr after I'm still high. Is this normal in the heat?

Hi, I would suggest seeing a dietician - not a nutritionist. They can take blood test, advise on weight & a healthy diet, for you as an individual who has diabetes. I know that drinking too much water can make electrolytes etc and kidney & liver not function correctly. Hope you get the help...

I dont drive after I have the drops, my vision isnt right for about 4 hours. Luckily my employer was understanding and I could work until I needed to leave and then retun the next day. I certainly wouldnt drive following the drops - too dangerous Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

Your reading isnt hypo, however it can feel like youre having a hypo if your levels have been high for a while and then come down, it should settle when your body gets uswd to the new level - thaats what I experienced. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

Misleading, I started insulin 30 yrs ago, and have yoyo dieted - si weight has also yoyo'd. Stop dieting and ate normal - weifht gain , then glucophage and weight has levelled out Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

Hi, was wondering if there was anyone around who has type 2 (on insulin since 17, now 48) and an eating disorder? I hace EDNOS - I binge, starve, eat compulsivly or purge. My Hba1c is spot on, but bloods are all over the place - would like to connect with anyone who has the same type of problem...

I dont think thats a problem. I dont keep my insulin in the fridge (the one im using) and have kept unused out of the fridge for a couple of days when necessary and its been fine. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App
