I am 34 years old mother of 2, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes over a year ago and been on metformin 500 mg 2x a day since then. My a1c is 7.5 and sugar isn’t improving but drs won’t change meds, thinking of seeking 2nd opinion.

I’ve been on metformin 500 mg 2x a day for over a year. My sugar hasn’t improved my drs don’t want to change meds, when I was in hospital they gave me insulin. I’ve been extremely thirsty lately and have headaches everyday. Do you think I should seek 2nd opinion about insulin?
