I bought me some more scales for the carrots/almond flour, and used erythritol as a sweetener. Managed to drop the cinnamon packet, have a very cinnamonny kitchen now. The cake was just about a success - the ramekin started to overflow after 30 seconds so transferred it all into a mug. Did the...

Libre 2 Plus - Worsening variation between sensor readings and glucose meter readings after around 8 days

^ having said that, I've realised that using hand sanitizer to clean my finger for a "proper" test when out and about isn't really working as well as I'd thought - thought to double check at home this afternoon when my libre showed 3.7, and got a 5.3 with hand sanitizer (ha! Libre discrepancy!)...

Libre 2 Plus - Worsening variation between sensor readings and glucose meter readings after around 8 days

Yup, agreed @mariavontrapp Things that seem to make it wonkier: sunshine, walking more than 2 minutes, being horizontal, * looking * at a packet of biscuits.... I read this recently and it was a good reminder not to rely solely on CGMs https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10583651/

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Quick question - can you freeze cream cheese? I don't eat it normally, and it feels like a waste to get a tub and only use a little bit. I'd really like to try the carrot cake recipe, so figured if I like it I could make/freeze a batch of topping for future use.. Thanks!

    Not a competition

Not sure if they tested it in hospital - my main takeaway from the whole episode was their diabetes person telling me that if I didn't go on insulin injections I'd die. The diabetes service got me to do a c-peptide test about 9 months ago to double check whether I'm a type one or two, and said...

Breakfast was Greek yoghurt, peanut butter and chia seeds again. All was OK for the first hour - BG rose about 1 unit, dropped another, then shot up to 10 after 2 hours. Guess that means dropping the abasaglar 1 unit was a bad idea. Finally got my lazy a** to aldi and picked up some...
