    Semiglutide for insulin resistance

I'm type 1 and been in ozempic for about 2 years. I have started my own threads on this some time back so I won't waffle on here. It's been amazing for my diabetes but the side effects are tough. It also have increased my symptoms of M.E. Which means I've even more wiped out and unable to do...

    Type 1 and GLP-1s

I am type 1, insulin resistant and treated with the t slim pump, g7 Dexcom, metformin and ozempic. I've been on ozempic for 2 years and it's been the biggest most positive improvement in my diabetes in the 33 years I've had it. I lost weight too but remained the same weight over the past year...

    Tandem T-Slim pump alarms RANT!

Mine is like this then this year I had a replacement pump for other reasons and now I get alarmed through the day and night to say things like ' it's been 3 hours since your last bolus do a blood test' every day. I didn't have that on the last t slim. Mine is paired with g7 and until a few...

    Cannula fail and possible ketones

I was taught originally a long time ago that I was not to exercise on higher blood sugars, like 14 and above, the same with ketones For 30 odd years exercise didn't help to bring my sugars down apart from the odd occasion. I seem to be an anomaly. I'd have to take insulin for a meal as if there...

    Cannula fail and possible ketones

Thanks for the replys. I have tried 6mm and 9mm needles. I've tried the trusteel and autosoft 90. I find on the 3 rd day no matter which cannula that I get a big lump left behind from the insulin and it stays for a long time even after daily massaging the area. The two recent leaks have been on...

Tandem T:Slim X2 – Do you switch sides every three days or not?

I also use rock tape the first 24 hours of a new cannula or if it's in an area I think I might be more likely to catch it on something and pull it off

Tandem T:Slim X2 – Do you switch sides every three days or not?

I find for me it doesn't really matter because my pump is placed on the same side as my Dexcom as the cannula tubing is long enough to do that and I have it lose in bed so I just either clip it on my pj's or move it over when I turn over. I was told not to put actual cannula the same side as...

    Cannula fail and possible ketones

A few times my blood sugars have got higher, 14 and into the 20's, and I can't seem to get them down. Then I notice the transparent plastic on the cannula is filled up with drops of insulin. So it's not been going into me for a while, previously told by tandem it will be condensation not...

Reliability of Dexcom G7 with Tandem T2

How does this work with both sensors there for a time? I'm having terrible trouble with start ups and general failings and the thing I had to do was put the old sensor at least 20ft away

    Insulin in cannula window

I get this occasionally and will become aware to look for it when my blood sugars rise dramatically. It means the insulin isn't going into me any more. Trouble I've found recently is by using my legs I can't always see the plastic of the cannula window. I've tried taking a picture of it but...

I have this. It takes ages to come down

Dexcom failings and new tandem pump

I've written to them. I actually get to see them on Monday but it's a lot to explain and the appointment will be around three hundred pounds for thirty minutes. so I have to be constructive about what discussions we have. I'm hoping to discuss the lumps at cannula sites I wrote to them about...

Dexcom failings and new tandem pump

I will try to summarise but I can't make it short. I hope no one has to go through this. I live on a small island where parcel deliveries are only twice a week. November no Dexcom G7's arrive as per my subscription. I chase it up. Am told i don't have a subscription. Then they find it. Now...

    Sore lumps at cannula site

The nurse has got back to me and suggested I go to the pharmacist for advice for a topical cream or maybe a different size cannula. I'm not very impressed with this response to be honest .... any thoughts gratefully recieved

    Sore lumps at cannula site

I did wonder with this one but my lump reaction to the other cannula isn't based round the adhesive tape. Still waiting to hear from diabetes nurses

    Sore lumps at cannula site

The insulin would sometimes sting going in before I was on the pump. Thank you for all the info on the cannulas. The sore lump with tru steel is the size of the cannula plaster, I don't stick any more over the top
