    Type 2 Stopping medication

Hiya I am currently on dapagliflozin but I have recently gone low carb & started exercising. My readings now are currently between 4.8 - 5.8 before and after food. I just wondered if its possible to stop the dapaglifozin or would my readings go high or would there be any side effects of...

    Breakfast

Hiya I'm trying to do low carb but I struggle with breakfast. I need something I can eat on the go and ideally make the night before so I can eat it at work. I tend to just have a breakfast bar but I know they have a high carb content. Any ideas/recipes will be most welcomed :) Thank you

    Workplace confidentiality?

I don't think we have anyone in the business who deals with that. We are a fairly small company. Thank you for the information though Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Workplace confidentiality?

I'm type 2 and to be honest quite ashamed of it. Think that's why it has annoyed me so much. I believe the reason was because someone they knew had been diagnosed recently. I'll get over it just having one of those days when everything gets to me. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Workplace confidentiality?

Maybe I'm being over sensitive I was just taken a back that management talk about my health to other people! I know we all gossip but shouldn't someone in a position of trust not disclose such sensitive information. I could think of better things to gossip about lol :) Sent from the...

    Workplace confidentiality?

No need for this colleague to know he is approx 6 hrs away from me and I've never met him lol Just think it's unfair that someone in such a high position told someone something so personal! I know it won't have been said maliciously but still ...! :( Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Workplace confidentiality?

Ive just found out a manager at work has told an employee (based at a different site to me) that I have diabetes. I was only diagnosed a year ago and to be honest I don't like people knowing. I have only told close friends and family. Do you think they should have done this? I'm extremely...

    Type 2 hypo on metformin?

I've read on numerous websites that you can't have a hypo if your type 2 and on metformin is this correct? I'm on 2x500 metformin a day yet my levels have been as low as 2.8 would this be a hypo or not? Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Advice re: crazy readings!

Thanks for the reply I had eaten less that normal that day as I was busy. I don't have periods so it's not that. I have been stressed for the past week and my heart keeps racing, not sure if my thyroid needs checking as it's underactive. Would stress make my bloods go higher? My diet and...

    Advice re: crazy readings!

I was diagnosed nearly a year ago with type 2. I take 2x500 metformin a day and control my diet. My bloods are usually between 4-6 the odd time 7 if I've stayed off the diet. However 2 weeks ago I felt funny and tested and I was 2.8! I was shocked an retested and got the same result. Then the...

    1st review with nurse...feel a bit :(

Wow I'm blown away with all the lovely responses :) I think you are all right and I just need to take the metformin and stop seeing myself as a failure. I think I haven't quite accepted that I am a diabetic and it's for life! I keep thinking I've been misdiagnosed and maybe I should get that...

    1st review with nurse...feel a bit :(

Thanks for the reply. It was the diabetic nurse I saw. I can't understand why the information is so conflicting. She's made me feel like no matter what I do it won't be good enough as it will get worse. I was put on metformin straight away and not even given a choice in taking them I was hoping...
