    good advice

    I will back this up 100%. Was diagnosed as a child aged 8. ( now 33 years old) never really cared for my diabetes through my teenage years and into my late 20's. I am now in a rehab hub centre and on an insulin pump which has been the best thing I've ever done.

    Don't really know much about other pumps but I have the Medtronic and pretty sure they will all be in par with each other bulk wise as u need kinda the same changing gear but I may be wrong. If i were u I'd stick with what I'm using as know how long it took me to adjust even after changing sets...

    Re: How long does it take to get use to the pump when you ge I agree with the above it takes a couple of weeks to get into the swing of it and a couple of months thereafter adjusting basal as to how ur body reacts to carbs and novo rapid. Good luck bug u won't need it. Best thing av done

    Re: Who is the pump for I got the pump 6 months ago and it's not for diabetics who have bad control. I was recommended by my dietician as my lantus basal was working perfectly during the day but making my BG plummet when sleeping. Didn't they do well NO MORE NIGHT TIME HYPO's.

    U go out and enjoy ur night as everyone else will . Just make sure u check blood bigoted bed or keep readings slightly higher than normal as we all know eating a 10g-20g carb snack with no insulin before bed when alcohol is involved is a good idea
