    How much is too much - Lantus??

    I definitely need to lose weight but not obese, have been trying to lower carbs especially in the evenings but I have always elevated overnight. its quite frustrating, waiting to see Nurse again for some more advice as feeling a bit lost!

I am now injecting 40 units of Lantus at bedtime and its giving me a waking level of between 5.5 and 8.2, I'm concerned that 40 units is a lot as I was started on just 12. DN wants me to concentrate on getting overnight sorted...

    Been on insulin 14 days tomorrow and have greatly improved my BG, I would like to be more in control of my meals and i'm trying to get to grips with carb counting but not seeing dietician till May. Can anyone recommend a good easy to use app to work out carbs for meals?? Thanks in advance x

    Re: Metformin tablets I would definitely request the slow release tablets, I suffer from IBS and metformin caused me lots of trouble. Had no problem once moved on to modifed release. Good luck
