    Low Carb Recipes

I made a ShakShuk (sp - it's Moroccan, and Arabic isn't my first language I'm afraid!) t'other day - easy, filling delish and infinitely adaptable. It's a one pan dish so ideally cook it stove top in the dish you want to eat it/serve it from Ingredients (these are all completely variable!)...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I've just started low carbing 'seriously' (as opposed to doing it on occasion when I fancied pork scratchings....) and my bloods are coming down amazingly. So I'm joining in the fun on this thread to keep me virtuous :) Today I have had: Ham and gouda omelette for breakfast Tex Mex soup from...

    Low Carb Recipes

My first foray into low carb recipes - I'm newish to LCHF (certainly to taking it seriously I have to admit) and I'm a sad old foodie which doesn't help. I don't think my meds are working...

I'm been diagnosed as T2 for just over 2 years now. I was on Metformin for about a year before I realised that it was making me really sick. I got swapped to Gliclazide which frankly doesn't seem to be working. I was put on the max dose (320mg per day) and still the sugar levels were...

    Metformin!!!

It took me over a year to realise that Metformin made me really, really sick. I was tired all the time, kept rushing 'urgently' to the loo and kept coming over sick. As soon as the penny dropped I stopped the Metformin and felt like me again. The nurse tried me on SR but no dice. As the...

T2 Diabetic in hospital - strange nurse behaviour!

I've been admitted to hospital for a while to deal with an ear infection (!) that has turned chronic and can only be dealt with by IV anti biotics. I have told the nursing staff that I'm T2, controlled with Metformin and diet and suddenly, on Day 3, they pounced on me this morning (at 5:30am...)...

    Hi....

Hi I'm Caroline and (gosh this sounds like AA...) I've just been diagnosed as a T2 sufferer. It was only on Monday and I had not one single symptom apart from the reason I had a blood test which seemed entirely unrelated, so I'm a little shocked at the mo! I've joined this forum to get as much...
