Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

15.7 this morning. One of the highest ever. Had the most terrible "munchies" since coming off Mounjaro and had well over 3000 calories and 300g carbs a day the past few days. Been trying supplements that are supposed to produce appetite suppression but no luck so far. On the plus side, I've...

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

14.6 again today. Although my meds have changed, I averaged 313 carbs last week, so I need to sort myself out. Not got another appointment for 6 weeks.

    Vape pens

It's been almost 19 years since I stopped smoking (12/08/06). Vapes weren't around then, but I used lozenges for almost 2 years, from about 5 a day, down to a couple of quarters before I came off them. Best thing I did for my health. Good luck to you. Can't comment on blood sugar as I was...

Has anyone had gout?.and is it related to my type diabetes?

I believe it can skip a generation too. My granddad had it, my dad didn't but me and my twin sister have it (I take Allopurinol, she insists on diet control, but still gets attacks).

Has anyone had gout?.and is it related to my type diabetes?

I've had gout since I was aged 23, but I've been taking Allopurinol since I was 39, so I've not had a twinge in that time. Before the medication, however, my attacks were excruciating. Easily he worst pain I've ever experienced. When you say you don't want to go down the pharmacy route, does...

    pioglitazone

I was on Pioglitazone for 5 years, and along with other meds it was great. But the fact it's been banned in most countries due to the bladder cancer risk, I came off it last year. My fasting BG shot up, so earlier this year I went back on it. However at my last appointment my GP took me off it...

    Finally Got Approved for Mounjaro!!

Glad you got to try Mounjaro. I've been on it since July 2024, and am currently on 10mg. I've only lost a stone as the appetite suppression wore off for me after about 3 months. Along with Glimepiride it's keeping my fasting readings in the 6s and 7s, so I'm more than happy with it.

6.8 today. Lowest for 3 months. Struggled a bit after being taken off Ozempic, but got my diet and numbers under better control now.

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

8.7 this morning, but we're on leave for 2 weeks, so I've eased up slightly, but will be back strictly on WW in about 8 days.
