    Insulin pump

    My best friend is probably getting an insulin pump fitted soon. She has had a trial one and hated it but she can't control her blood sugar levels so she really needs it. Is it hard to live with and anything I can say to help? Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Yes but they haven't got any previous diabetic experience so they don't no what is normal, and also she has her insulin ratios are really low to avoid this happening anyway but it is not working

    Yes, she has had 2 monitors in to see what is happening but they are not doing anything about it

    My best friend has type 1 diabetes and has regular hypos where she faints often for an hour at least twice a week, i have always tested her sugar levels when in school and brought her round but now, the school has decided just because I am a child I can't do it any more. Just looking for advice...
