Hi! Does anyone know if diabetes and insulin can cause low levels of hcg in a blood test very early on in the pregnancy? I have heard that type one diabetics who are taking insulin have lower hcg levels in the first trimester than those without T1D. Is this true?

I have been on oral medications for my diabetes for about 2yrs and all has worked well. A1c is steady at 7 Recently found out I am pregnant, so stoped with the pills and was put in insulin (2 kinds) My hcg (pregnancy hormone) is rising About 200 points (or whatever they go by) Every 2 days or...
