sprained ankle

Hi just wondered if anyone thinks I should go the doctors about this. I have been diagnosed type 2 diabetes (on 2000 mg metformin per day) a few months ago - I turned my ankle yesterday it was quite painful. Today it is very bruised and swollen but not as painful as yesterday, but my skin itches...
