‘Stop Eating After 7pm’ Challenge

Finished a delicious cauliflower and ham cheese bake at 18:58. The cauliflower took much longer to cook than I expected!
Yum Yum

Firstly, well done for resisting the actual eating after 7pm. I think that’s what this challenge is about, rather than finishing by 7pm.

Secondly, fingers crossed you are not brewing any nasty bugs

I've done awful at this and only made it on one occasion, we keep some pretty mad times/flexible routines from week to week atm

routine in that we do the same sort of stuff but whenever it happens to be
For me its more about becoming self aware so if I feel the urge to snack (In my case on nuts) I am managing to tell myself no! However it has come to my attention how much I go to snack at other times of day which I didn't realise I was doing. I tend to think because its low carb foods its ok, but now I am consciously trying to not eat anything between meals at all. Pretty hard for me as my motivation has weakened recently, plus I have a lifetime habit to combat.

Can I encourage you not to give up, at least you are identifying that your work/life balance can be challenging. Keep trying and when you can, keep to the schedule, it will pay benefits.

Thank you, you can :0)

I currently work from home and I'm the worst boss I've ever had. definitely need to install a few more boundaries.

A lot of the time when we are not eating together as a family because we all hold very varied schedules. I find myself going "oh, everyone else is fed, I suppose I should eat something myself.", I look at the clock and its past 9pm, which I find okay if I'm going to bed at 1am, so the concept is there if only a little shifted.

We also have a lot of neurodivergent, ADHD/Dyspraxia traits too, the lot of us!

Hear you on the snaccs, I will sometimes pull a handful of pistachios and season them, or a few bits of cheese or cold cuts of meat, I tell myself because I'm still hungry I shouldn't be unnesc denying myself stuff if I don't need to, which I realise could be habitual or excuses also. I'm really eating a whole lot less and better foods than I was before, most of the time a snack is about 6-8 hours after any main meal, that said, it might mean maybe I should shift my meals closer together.

I finished my pudding of raspberries, a teaspoon of sweetener and cottage cheese (I love cottage cheese) at 6:40.

off to bed know and hoping I have a better night.

well done everyone for sticking with it
