I think once you go high, say over 13, insulin resistance kicks in and it takes more than a normal correction dose to bring it down again but then there is the danger of overdosing and come crashing down , I find its best to just give it time to come back down slowly otherwise you get into the rollercoaster of glucose then insulin which can be more damaging to our body than a occasional high .
