Hello
Im new to this forum, this is my second pregnancy my daughter is almost 4, however im finding this pregnancy a lot harder, my blood sugar has been mainly low with the odd spike or two... however this last week im spiking for no reason at all and its completely freaking me out. today I went for lunch did what I thought was the right amount of insulin and I spiked to 12.5! (about 200...I think) took a good 2 hours to return to normal but there was no reason for this. just after some reassurance....
thank you :)

If you're spiking to 12.5 you're not doing too badly at all - especially in your circumstance! I used to get my I:C ratios so wrong my spikes would hit 19 or 20 ... and I'm never going to be pregnant!

I suspect your other, non-insulin hormones are playing havoc with you - call your hospital neo-natal Diabetes Nurse as she may be able to help you work out a personalised plan based on all your current stats.

Good luck - you're doing really well and you put my past to shame.

Do they advise you to test 1/2 hr post meals? Also what foods are you eating generally?
I really don't think those spikes are that bad you know I know it's not what they "recommend" but if it's back down to target by the next meal don't be too hard on yourself.
