I love when I see an athlete do so well who is a type 1. It is an inspiration to us all! Katie Bone a 16 year old type 1, is on American Ninja Warrior. Proudly wearing both her Dexcom and Omnipod on her arms. She is a Nationally Ranked and World Class Rock Climber and has been climbing since the age of 8 and was diagnosed with type 1 at the age of 11. They showed her being the first to finish the course that night and finished 8th overall for the night. Very Impressive!

Not sure if the clips will work for you guys!

Henry Slade of Exeter and England Rugby Union is a type 1 and discusses his diabetes management in games frequently. gary Mabbut ex Spurs and England footballer was also a type 1 if memory serves me right.

Couldn't get it via the link, but googling 'katie bone ninja warrior' offers you Facebook where you can see her whole run. I'd never heard of American Ninja Warrior but I watched her whole round and thought she was amazing, and I loved the fact that her T1 is remarked on as it shows the world that what usually holds any of us back is telling ourselves "I can't". This young woman obviously thinks "I can". Amazing.
