Hi back already ! I have been keeping track of my carbs on myfitness site All good except that the fat ratio seems very high is this usual? My before numbers are all 6.5 and below The after numbers are all 7.6 or below Can I hope that the low carbs will bring down the pre meal numbers ?
 
On a low carb diet you have to replace the carbs with something else and upping the natural fat keeps you full, doesn’t raise your BG and doesn’t cause heart attacks! So eat the fattier cuts of meat, the crispy skin on chicken. Full fat yogurt, a bit of double cream in your coffee, butter, good old fashioned lard or bacon fat to cook in (olive oil of course if your prefer but definitely not vegetable and seed oils). What you knew about eating low fat high carb in the 70s, 80s and 90s, throw out of the window. We were all lead down the path of sickness and headlong into being diabetes back then!
