Hiya,
My 2 year old has been on a pump for 4 weeks. She was diagnosed in January. At the moment I am having a lot of problems as she is either too low or too high. Her ratio is 1:50 - the pump won't even go this low. She has no insulin (basal) overnite but still drops below 3 mmols/L and during the day she is on incredibly low doses and either goes low or extremely high. Her Basal rate is 0.1 - 0.05 hr from 05:00 - 00:00 and nothing overnite. She is continuing to produce her own insulin. We were told that the Honeymoon period is short in toddlers, but she seems to be an exception. Does she have a different Mody of diabetes?
